Algebra for adults — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the Algebra for adults mobile application ("the App"), published by Odeteam ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and protects your data. Algebra for adults is an algebra-practice game: you solve equations step by step and, optionally, compete on a tournament leaderboard.
By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
2. Data We Collect
Algebra for adults is designed to collect as little as possible. You can use the App in learning mode without providing any email. The table below lists everything the App stores:

We do NOT collect: your contacts, location, photos (unless you explicitly pick one for a profile avatar), browsing history, advertising identifiers, or any data unrelated to algebra practice. We do not store passwords — sign-in uses one-time email codes only.
3. How Your Data Is Used
- To save your progress and let you continue where you left off across app launches.
- To calculate your tournament score and rank you on the public leaderboard (your nickname is shown to other players; your email is never shown).
- To verify your identity when you choose to link an email to your account.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or to train AI models, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Where Data Is Stored & Sub-Processors
Your data is stored on our own servers hosted by Hetzner in Germany (EU). All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We rely on the following sub-processors:
- Hetzner — server hosting (Germany, EU).
- Email delivery (SMTP) — used only to send one-time sign-in codes, if you choose to link an email.
We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics resellers.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your profile and practice results for as long as your account exists so the leaderboard and your progress stay intact. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us — we will erase it within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy
Algebra for adults is suitable for learners of all ages, including children. We collect no more than a nickname (and an optional email a parent or user chooses to add) and the practice results needed to run the game. We do not knowingly collect any other personal information from children, show advertising, or share data with third parties for commercial purposes. If you believe a child has provided data you would like removed, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when features change or laws require it. Material changes will be reflected on this page, and the "Effective Date" above will be updated accordingly.
